ALL YEARS - FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parent/Caregiver
The school has been both busy and quiet in recent weeks. Our Year 12, 11, and 10 students have been diligently taking their mid-year examinations. Congratulations to our students for their dedication to their studies and for our teachers who provide unwavering support. While our Senior School students have been focused on exams, our Year 7 students enjoyed a camp. It was delightful to witness our youngest students engaging in activities that fostered communication, problem-solving, and fun.
At Perth Modern School, academic success is just one aspect of our students. Alongside their achievements, our children exhibit confidence, kindness, and care for others. They hold deep respect for themselves, their families, and the well-being of all in our community. Congratulations to all our students for their strong work ethic and commitment to personal growth this semester.
Warm regards
Mitchell Mackay
Principal
Perth Modern School

ALL YEARS - PERTH MODERNIAN SOCIETY MUSUEM ASSOCIATION
"Dear Friends,
We need your help.
On leaving our school days, we rarely understand how important our photos, school news and memorabilia might become. This became apparent to our volunteers and Roger Stubbs whilst researching and writing our Music at Mod book. Memories are important—and so are the treasured memorabilia kept in oft forgotten places. Fortunately, many of these are donated to the Museum Association to maintain, conserve, catalogue and create displays—to better present our history to our community and the public.
Your generous donations plus grant monies procured for specific projects ensures our volunteers are always busy and use appropriate technology. Our foci include researching, writing and publishing, restorations, adding to our digital database, updating science exhibits, cataloguing new artefacts and reconnecting families/year groups and their memories. Growing a sustainable accessible Museum is also vital.
We rely on volunteers, donations and bequests to support our work. All gifts of $2 or more are tax deductible. Please contact us at museum@perthmoderniansociety.org.au if you would like to volunteer.
You can found out more about the museum and how to donate via this brochure.
Thank you."
Dr Robyn White
Chair, Perth Modernian Society Museum Association

Esafety has a website dedicated to providing information on how to ensure a safe online environment for children.
There is also helpful information to guide parents when issues arise including Reporting Abuse.
Sometimes, when students are involved in online groups they may experience a situation that is not a positive one.
We would encourage anyone in this situation to seek help and this web page is an ideal space for that first line of information.
At Perth Modern we have multiple programs set up to assist students to create positive experiences online, however, should these or the eSafety resources not help your child in their situation, they are more than welcome to seek support from the Student Services team at school PerthModern.StudentServices@education.wa.edu.au
DIGITAL FOOTPRINTS
As part of the curriculum, when using the internet, we encourage students to have a safe, positive experience online and to be aware of their digital footprint that could adversely affect them in the future.
