Perth Modern School eNewsletter

Perth Modern School's new 700 seat multipurpose auditorium opened on Saturday, 11 September with a spectacular concert attended by the project's donors and their guests, representatives of the builder and architect, Perth Modern staff, Education Department special guests and Modernians. The concert featured the Symphony Orchestra, Wind Orchestra and Combined Choirs and a special dance performance inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Speeches were made by Principal Lois Joll, Board Chair Dr Ken Michael and Patron Malcolm McCusker.

The fantastic new venue is a testament to what can be achieved when the entire school community comes together with a common purpose of improving the school experience and facilities on offer to our wonderful students! We thank you all immensely and cannot wait to see all departments and students accessing the space.

NAME A KEY ON THE GRAND PIANO

The school has recently obtained a Shigeru Kawai SK-EX Grand Piano at an incredible price. This advanced concert grand piano will feature on the big stage of the Cyril Tyler Auditorium. If you are a supporter of the Perth Modern School Music Program or would simply like a way to support the school please consider a donation to help us top up our school account after the purchase of this piece. Any amount will be gratefully received, and donations above $500 will be acknowledged by the School with the donor's name on a Grand Piano plaque, to be featured in the Sir Paul Hasluck Foyer.
