The Public Holiday for ANZAC Day is Monday, 26 April 2021 and a reminder there will be no school for students on Monday, 17 May due to a Staff Development Day.
We would like to pass on a huge thank you to Clive Palmer, who with his team, have provided for the school community for nearly a decade, including catering of school events and weekly morning tea's for staff.
We are glad that cafe staff members Sam, Dee, Janelle and Tania will be continuing to support the cafe with new operaters, Angelo Stellino and Raffaele Mugavero.
Chefs Angelo Stellino and Raffaele Mugavero are excited that Serendipity Food Lab has been selected as the new Food for Thought operator at Perth Modern School and will be open for Term 2.
The Cafe will offer healthy, nutritious and tasty foods that are good value for money and are prepared daily.
Opening times will remain the same with the cafe open during recess, lunch and also for breakfast before school from 8.00am.
Parents will also be able to continue to use QuickCliq app to manage their child's cafe orders - see Welcome to QuickCliq

Perth Modern School is now registered with the Containers for Change scheme with families able to take their household containers to a collection centre to obtain the full 10 cents per item which will be credited to the school.

We thank you for your ongoing support to our Sustainability Advocacy group and their projects at school.
A large portion of students use public transport to and from school and are therefore required to cross busy roads around the school.
Please remind your child to cross where it is safe on marked footpaths and islands and only when the green man is present on traffic light signals.

- The University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT) is now open for bookings. If a student is applying for medical, dental and clinical sciences degree programs, they will need to book in to sit the UCAT. Please visit https://www.ucat.edu.au/ucat-anz/
- UWA, ECU, Murdoch and Curtin early offers for 2022 are now open.
- The UWA Fogarty Scholarship Program application is now online. There is also a new matrix document to assist with outlining achievements. Year 12 students must hand in their Principal’s Endorsement Form in to the Future Learning Centre (FLC) and this will be filled out and submitted on their behalf. Applications for the Fogarty Scholarship close on Monday, 24 May.
- Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC) has published their first 2021 School Circular and a Year 12 Application Information pdf. This is available on Connect. Perth Modern Space>Library>Future Pathways>TISC>TISC Circular No1 2021.
- The Semester 1 Examination Timetable will be published at the beginning of May.

Second Hand Uniform Shop (SHUS)
The SHUS is normally open every second and fourth Monday of the month however as these both fall in the school holidays, the shop will now be open on Monday, 19 April from 8.30am - 12.30pm.
A reminder that the SHUS is no longer accepting cash payments - please arrange to use a debit or credit card for your purchases.
P&C Meeting
