ALL YEARS - FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parent/Caregiver,
This week marked the official launch of the Perth Modern School Business Plan 2025–2029, a special occasion that brought together members from our vibrant school community to celebrate a bright and promising future.
The title of the Business Plan, Kadadjiny Dandjoo, is drawn from the Noongar language and speaks to the strength of a connected community—one that listens, thinks, and learns together.
Kadadjiny Dandjoo reflects our ongoing commitment to respecting tradition, empowering the present, and shaping the future. We remain dedicated to academic excellence, nurturing strong relationships, and fostering an inclusive, innovative environment that supports personal growth, inspires leadership, and ensures long-term success for all members of our community.
I encourage all families to take the time to read the Business Plan and reflect on the principles that underpin it. These values represent a shared journey—one that is future-focused, collaborative, and driven by continuous improvement.
Warm regards
Mitchell Mackay
Principal

ALL YEARS - STUDENT SERVICES YEAR COORDINATORS 2025
Through school planning and review, we continue to review our systems for optimising student care with the Year Coordinator Model.
The below structure and personal will be implemented in 2025:
Years 7-9 Middle Years Cycle
This cycle is crucial with enrolments, transition and setting up all of the new information for students entering the school for Year 7 and following them through their younger years to the end of Middle Years in Year 9.
Years 9 Mel Wilcock, Year 8 Jacqui Carter, Year 7 Adin Mortadza
Years 10-12 Senior Years Cycle
This cycle is crucial with senior years courses, career pathways and introduction to the ATAR pathways, SCSA timetables and in general shaping the student leaders of the school space.
Years 12 – James Casey, Year 11 Katie Chin, Year 10 Kate Bajrovic
For 2024, I would like to extend a heart felt thankyou to the current year coordinators for their invaluable commitment to our school community. Their unwavering support of the students, extends beyond the confines of their role and deserves boundless gratitude. Specifically, I would like to thank John O’Loughlin for his six years of service to the school as Year Coordinator with two year groups and to Jessica Lhota for her two years as the Year Coordinator of the class of 2024. Both returning to other roles in the school, however their experience, dedication and difference they were able to make with our students journeys has been invaluable.
We are looking forward to a successful and fulfilling year ahead.
Mr. Matthew Healy
Deputy Principal
