Parents are requested to talk to their child about the importance of Public Transport Safety Etiquette. Please remind your child when travelling on public transport to and from school to please be vigilant of the traffic on the roads and use pedestrian crossings.  Please also remember that as they are travelling on a subsided fare, they must stand for other passengers.

Parents are reminded that there is a NO STANDING/PARKING rule in the area for student drop off/pick up when you have entered the Roberts Road car park. Cars ‘waiting’ in this area are causing traffic chaos onto Roberts Road. We ask that you wait elsewhere if you are early for pick-up to avoid creating these issues. As Roberts Road becomes even busier when the demolition of Subiaco Oval and the Hospital commence, followed by the opening of the new school, Roberts Road congestion will be high, so we advise you consider using the convenient drop off/pick up area on Subiaco Road instead.

The increased pollen in the air with the warmer weather can trigger symptoms of allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and asthma. Allergic rhinitis is a common and debilitating disease affecting around one in five people in Australia. Some of the symptoms of Hay Fever include: frequent bouts of sneezing, runny or blocked nose, itchy ears, nose, throat and roof of the mouth, red, itchy, swollen and/or watery eyes and headache.

If Hay Fever is left untreated it can lead to poor quality sleep, tiredness and daytime sleepiness. Please remind your child if they have hay fever to carry one days requirement of medication with them to school.

Seek advice from your pharmacist or doctor about medications that will relieve symptoms.
