Year 7 Update
What a wonderful start it has been for our Year 7 students. Students have now had time and opportunity to settle into their classes and start building valuable friendships.
In Year 7, we encourage the theme ‘Sense of Belonging’. This will be a focus though their extracurricular activities. Students are encouraged to try new things, get involved in activities advertised via Student Notices, attend social events, and connect with their peers through the Advocacy and House program activities. Upcoming events include Movie Night and Camp, with the details being sent via Compass Events later in the term.

Year 7 Transition Information on the School Website
https://www.perthmodern.wa.edu.au/transition-to-mod/ has a specific Year 7 Transition section and more information in general that you should find useful in the Parent Essentials space.
Using Compass
Utilise Compass for student timetables, events, tasks, attendance, and student notices information. We encourage parents to download the Compass App for ease of access. Login details are the same as for online. If you need help with your login, please email our technicians at PerthModern.ITStaff@education.wa.edu.au
Subject queries
Teacher email addresses are in Compass Schedules by clicking the specific course. Course materials are in the Connect Library for most courses, however many teachers are using OneNote which contains course materials and other information.
General Queries
Student Services can direct queries to the right person by emailing PerthModern.StudentServices@education.wa.edu.au
Progress Review Day
The annual Year 7 Progress Review Day is on Tuesday, 28 March. Parents will be able to engage with class teachers, the Year Coordinator and Manager Middle Years regarding the Year 7 program. Information on this event was contained in the last Information Update.
