ALL STUDENTS: TRANSPERTH SCHOOL SERVICE CHANGES FOR 2023
Transperth Services often change at the start of the school year. These changes include School Specials, as well as regular routes that service schools in the area.
These changes are made in order to offer the best possible service across the network.
Students intending to travel to school via public transport should:
- Check transperth.wa.gov.au for information. As services change, website information will be updated.
- Plan your journey prior to the start of school. The JourneyPlanner will be updated with the new school services two weeks prior to the start of school. Remember to change the date in the JourneyPlanner to the first day of school
- Not every school will undergo changes, however all students should plan their journey before starting the new school year.
Students who take Bus Route 28 please make note the timetable has been changed to coincide with our timetable/bell times. This is great news as students no longer need to cross busy roads to get the CAT Bus.

YEAR 10 AND 11 STUDENTS: SPECIAL PROVISIONS FOR WACE EXAMS
Special Provisions for WACE Examinations YEARS 11 AND 12 STUDENTS (2023)
The School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) recognises that individual students may need special arrangements to allow them to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and understanding in assessment/exam situations.
An application for Special Examination Arrangements for ATAR Year 12 courses is made by the school to SCSA in conjunction with the student, parents and health professionals and must be submitted to SCSA by 24 March (Week 8) of Term 1, 2023.
SCSA have very strict guidelines regarding special exam arrangements and requires a formal diagnosis and supporting documentation that demonstrates the student’s current functional impairment, including (but not limited to):
- A detailed explanation of the diagnosis – including severity.
- Medication - if applicable
- Evidence of targeted intervention
- Most importantly the student must demonstrate that their condition/disability functionally impairs their ability to perform at the same level as other students within the same time frame.
Please note:
“Special arrangements are not provided to maximise a candidate’s performance or provide advantage over other candidates. The School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority) does not automatically adopt a medical/psychological provider’s advice or replicate the special arrangements that the school may have used for school-based assessment. When approving special arrangements, the Authority will consider the demonstrated functional impact of the disability and how it impairs the candidate accessing the particular examinations being sat”.
For further information or to view the 2022 application form please go to SCSA Application for Special Examination Arrangements (scsa.wa.edu.au).
