Dear Parent/Caregiver 

During Semester 2 the school will be trialling an adjustment to the timetable for students in Years 7, 8 and 9. All student timetables will increase from 3 to 4 periods per week each of Mathematics, Science, English and Humanities. This will allow the curriculum to continue to be compacted and allow the opportunities for acceleration for students. 

There will continue to be a strong focus on the Innovations program and this will enhance and compliment the ongoing curriculum. There will be no increases in any voluntary charges for students and any savings for parents can be held in credit for parents to reduce any future charges in 2023.

Perth Modern School 

School Server Update: From 2.00pm Wednesday, 8 June to end of day Friday, 10 June.

Due to the Department of Education upgrade of the school server, the school will not have access to the internet or phone lines.

Classwork will be altered to work not requiring the use of IT.

Parents and caregivers will not be able to communicate with the school via the usual methods. A mobile contact number will be provided to communicate with Student Services in the Information Update next week (Week 7).

Staff will respond to email requests within two school days from Monday, 13 June.

Buy Your Mufti Dollars Now

We are looking forward to having fun and raising huge funds for ‘Feed The Little Children’ charity based in Broome Feed the Little Children – Serving food, sparking hope, seeing change. The opportunity to purchase your Mufti Dollars has arrived. Parents to buy Mufti Dollars via QKR, or buy them with cash or card at the Finance Desk prior to the day. There will be no cash transactions at the stalls. You will be able to purchase additional Mufti Dollars on the day.

Please note, that all Mufti Dollars purchased will go to Feed The Little Children; there will not be any refunds.

All Mufti Dollars (spent and unspent) will go into a raffle to win an exciting prize. More details are to follow.

The Mufti Dollars will be handed out during Advocacy on Friday 24 June.
