FENCING CLUB MONDAY (Beginners) FRIDAY (Experienced) 3.40PM- 5.00PM

The UWA Fencing Club will continue in 2019 on Monday and Friday afternoons 3.40pm-5.00pm in the school gymnasium. UWAFC Head Coach, Tuko Maia, who has extensive experience with state and national teams, coaches the club. Classes are based on a pedagogical system, The Shields, similar to belts in martial arts. All fencing equipment is provided. The Monday session is for students from any year group who have no experience and would like to try the sport. The Friday session is for students who have participated previously. The first session on Monday, 11 February, is a free session for interested students to come along and try out. Information including the cost of the club will be given out to students at this session. The first Friday session is on Friday 15, February.
