YEARS 10 AND 11 - CURTIN RISING SCHOLAR
Curtin University Semester 2 Study Opportunity for High-Achieving Year 10 and 11 Students
Expressions of Interest (EOI) are open for students to study a unit at Curtin University in Semester 2. Submissions close Thursday, 22 May at 3.30pm.
How to Apply:
-
Complete the EOI Microsoft form:
-
Obtain teacher approval before listing them as a referee.
-
Read the accompanying documents in the microsoft forms link to understand requirements and available units.
Key Information:
-
Selection may favour students who mention Curtin in their future study plans, but commitment to Curtin is not required.
-
Perth Modern EOIs open Wednesday, 30 April and close Thursday, 22 May at 3.30pm, allowing time for assessment and approval. If supported, Mrs Lydon will sign your Declaration Form as the School Nominator.
Important Points:
-
Early applications receive earlier responses, based on teacher referee availability.
-
Students must have good behaviour and attendance records—poor standing may lead to application rejection.
-
Only students with an A Grade average will be supported, ensuring the best chance of success.
-
Teacher referee should know the student well, ideally in the subject area, and must agree to be a referee before their name is listed.
-
Students are asked to read all provided documents in the forms link before asking further questions.
Next Steps: If an EOI is successful, enrolment with Curtin University is managed between the student and Curtin—not through Perth Modern School. Application dates mentioned by Curtin refer to Curtin enrolment after EOI approval.
