ALL YEARS - ARTS AND TECHNOLOGY SHOWCASE - 'IKAGAI' - WEDNESDAY, 15 MAY
ARTS AND TECHNOLOGY FESTIVAL 2024
Join us on Wednesday, 15 May for the opening of our 2024 Arts and Technology Festival titled: IKIGAI, a celebration of purpose and creativity inspired by the Japanese concept of Ikigai, meaning a reason for being. Hosted by Arts and Technology, this week-long festival offers students a platform to showcase and explore a diverse range of experiences. From Visual Art masterpieces to interactive Digital Technology projects featuring robotics and coding; purpose-built Materials and Design products and Food Technologies projects; our students will showcase their talents in an engaging exhibition running throughout the week in the Mills Building.
Don't miss the exhibition opening on Wednesday evening from 6.00pm. A visual display of student work from Years 7-12 will adorn the walls of Mills, accompanied by a captivating soundscape, inspired by our recent Year 12 Drama production of 'The Tempest'. The Materials and Design students will illuminate the evening with their fire pit displays, offering guests the chance to toast some treats. The festivities continue with a mesmerising Dance performance in Casey Theatre, followed by scripted monologues being performed by Drama students from Years 10, 11, and 12, offering a glimpse into their Semester 1 practical exam preparations.
We invite you to join us from 6.00pm in the Mills Building on Wednesday, 15 May for the opening and showcase of student work. Discover your own Ikigai as we celebrate the passion and creativity of our school community.
