Parent and Teacher Interview Day and Classroom Teacher Sessions

Tuesday, 28 March 11.00am – 7.00pm

For Parents with students in Years 11 and 12, Year 10 students studying an ATAR subject and students in Years 9 and 10 who are new to the school. On the day, you will able to visit our university expo and other information sessions.

For our Year 7 parents/caregivers you are welcome to meet your child’s classroom teachers in 15-minute class group sessions. There is also a Year 7 information session and a meet and greet. There is a timetable below for Year 7 parent sessions. 

The Parent and Teacher Interview Day is an important opportunity for parents to connect with teachers and to discuss the progress of their child. Our next Parent and Teacher Interview Day is on Monday, 17 July and the focus for this is Years 8, 9 and 10.

Please be advised that teachers will indicate on your child’s report if an interview is required.  If the ‘Interview Required’ box has not been ticked, you may still book an interview. We are aware that parents appreciate interview days as an opportunity to connect with their child’s teachers.

Please note that all interviews will be restricted to 7 minutes.

Where will these be held?

Parents please be aware of travel time between buildings when booking your interview times. We suggest you do NOT book consecutive times to accommodate travel time. We do not want you to be disappointed if arriving late to an interview that it may not be able to be re-scheduled due to our teachers having back-to-back bookings.

There will be tea and coffee stations for our parents - one in the Tyler McCusker Sports Centre and one in the Stokes Building.

INFORMATION SESSIONS

Michelle Edwards is coordinating a Careers Expo with the major universities.

The Expo will be setup in Andrews from 1.30pm – 5.30pm.

There will also be a university session (UWA, Curtin, Notre Dame) on Medicine. This will take place in Beasley from 2.30pm – 3.30pm and will include a 10-minute presentation from each of the universities represented and then a Q&A.

Our Staff will also be running the sessions below: (NOTE: You do not need to booke these, just turn up). 

Please note when there is more than one session for a year group, these are repeat sessions.

YEAR 7 CLASSROOM TEACHER SESSIONS

For our Year 7 parents/caregivers you are welcome to meet your child’s classroom teachers in 15-minute class group sessions. You do not need to book into these sessions. Please ensure you are aware of your child’s teacher for each class.

BOOKING INTERVIEW SESSIONS – ATAR/GENERAL AND NEW STUDENTS (Years 9, 10)

Bookings for this event can be made via Compass; Parents can make bookings by clicking the 'Book Parent Teacher Interviews' button available next to their student's photo on their Compass homepage, or by clicking the Dashboard Alert at the top of their Newsfeed. Compass will then step you through the booking process.
 
Parents have access to the booking system from 4.00pm on Friday, 10 March until bookings close at 10.00am on Thursday, 23 March.
